TORONTO, ON. – The G20 summit will bring in press from all over the world, and what better way to welcome them to Canada than to give them a goodie bag?
The Roots bag — made out of plastic — has a variety of items inside. It includes two pens, two lapel pins, a notepad, postcards and a Tourism Toronto magazine. One of the pens is made out of wood and says “Muskoka 2010” on it.
Of course the bright red tote bag also contains a refillable stainless-steel water bottle, a map of Toronto and a TTC route map and brochure.
Media reps will also find a small bottle of maple syrup in the kit and a TTC “convention transit pass” that can be used on all regular routes all week.
Last but not least, there’s an iPhone/iPod touch screen cover that allows you to see content in 3D.
Why? We’re not sure.
The bags are available to all members of the press; local, national and international.
