Jailed business baron Conrad Black has endorsed a Toronto mayoral candidate in his lengthy column, while slamming two others. Black jumped into the race yesterday in a jailhouse column from his cell at the low-security prison in Coleman, Florida. The British Lord supports Sarah Thomson in his column, saying she’s youngish, attractive, intelligent and a competent business woman. He dogged George Smitherman and Rocco Rossi saying they are not the people for the job. Black is in his third year of a six and a half year sentence for fraud and obstruction of justice.
