TORONTO, Ont. – Keeping children safe online is a big concern for parents.

From cyber bullying to sharing too much personal information, those are all worries when it comes online safety.

But, a new Internet safety campaign has taken a new approach, in that it was done by children for children.

It’s a joint venture between Microsoft Canada and the Boys and Girls Club of Canada.

Gavin Thompson, Microsoft Canada’s director of corporate citizenship, told 680News they wanted to hear from children.

“It’s one thing I think for kids to be told about Internet safety, but it’s another thing entirely when it comes from a peer, or when it’s from them telling their side of the story,” Thompson said.
