It was careless smoking that led to two of the three deadly fires in Toronto last Sunday.
One fire in Etobicoke and two others closer to downtown left two men and a woman dead, and caused over a million dollars in property damages.
Fire officials told the Toronto Star that smokers should light up outside, and need to take responsibility for properly extinguishing their cigarette butts, either by putting them in water, or using large, deep ashtrays.
