Arrests made in connection to Connie Valencia-Russo murder

Two people were arrested in Mexico in connection with the murder of Toronto French teacher, Connie Valencia-Russo, Toronto police confirmed to CityNews.

The 44-year-old was found dead in the truck of her car in North York last July.

Shortly after her death, two people were caught on camera using her credit and debit cards.

Police then issued arrest warrants for two young Mexican Nationals; Juan Antonio Reyes, 23, and Ana Laura Rodrigues, 19.

There’s no word on if they are the two people under arrest in Mexico.

Russo had a brief relationship with Toronto councillor Cesar Palacio.  They have a teenaged son.

Palacio told 680News, he along with his son, “are relieved to learn the Mexican authorities got suspects and they are behind bars.”
